Love Is In The Restaurant City Air

5 February, 2010 – 8:18 am

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and Playfish has made Valentine’s Day goodies available to virtual restaurateurs like me but I do not have enough Restaurant City coins and am too stingy to buy PF cash that all I can do is level up these special Valentine’s Day dishes to Level 10, instead of decorating my restaurant with a romantic theme or even Chinese New Year, which coincidentally, falls on Valentine’s Day this year as well.

The two new “love” dishes available to us are Lovely Steak and Sweet Heart Mousse, as you can see from the screenshot that I have enclosed. Aren’t they simply lovely and bring and air of romance to the restaurant?

Right now, I have only unlocked these dishes and haven’t enough ingredients to level them up yet. Yes, like all special dishes to celebrate an occasion and festival, these dishes are timed and we have about 21 days or so to unlock them. However, once unlocked, the dishes are us to keep and we can level them up slowly at our own pace.

Sorority Life Gets Out Of Hand

29 January, 2010 – 2:10 pm

I noticed all these messages from a friend whom I introduced Sorority Life on Facebook to last month and I feel kind of bad that she is getting such treatment. You see, I hardly ever ask my friends to play the games I play but with Sorority Life, if your House isn’t large enough and you do not have enough sisters, you can’t socialize. I hate it, you know….

Anyway, when I saw all these messages that my friend broadcast, I can’t help but recall that these were my exact sentiment when I first started the game. These people just can’t wait for a player with a small House to log in and they will come in one fell swoop and wipe your Confidence away.

Although I am now at Level 118 already, though with only just 99 sisters, I still get attacked terribly as soon as I log into the game but I don’t care anymore. I just socialize and claim my daily free gift. It looks like that’s all there is to the game.

Mafia Wars Bangkok Is Here!!!

23 January, 2010 – 12:12 pm

I play Mafia Wars on Facebook, which I believe, releases are made here first compared to other social network sites like MySpace and Tagged.

Like I said, Mafia Wars Bangkok is released but it is still in Beta, which means that not every Mafia Wars player can travel to Bangkok yet. The city is only open to those who is given the passport to Bangkok from another Mafia Wars player. It is closed to even those players who have completed all three cities; New York, Cuba and Moscow.

When I entered Bangkok, there was a note that says that I have three passports to give away to my Mafia family but I don’t know where my passports are. I waited for a pop up screen so that I could select three names but there was no such thing. I searched for them in my Loot and Gifting pages but couldn’t find them. So I believe there are still three Bangkok passports available in my account to be given away.

Like Moscow, there are two different groups to select from, namely Yakuza and Traid. I have no idea which one is better than the other so I am just playing blindly like I did in Moscow. it doesn’t matter, it’s just a game.

Bangkok seems quite easy to play compared to Moscow. After just one session, I am already at Level 2 of Brawler, the first episode. I have also vaulted the first Bangkok chess set collection which gives +5 energy.

As for Bangkok achievements, right now there is only one which is Sawatdee, earned by gaining access to Bangkok but since it’s still just Beta, there will be many more achievements added to the game later on.

Well, let me go and continue with playing Mafia Wars Bangkok now….
