TVB Drama - The Gem Of Life
21 October, 2008 – 6:29 pmThe TVB mega drama that many of us have been waiting for finally started last evening. It’s 80 episodes long and will last until February, 2009. I tell you, I am not going to watch it on Astro like many of my peers but either download The Gem of Life or stream The Gem of Life online. However, just thinking about the work involved in downloading The Gem of Life, all 80 episodes of them and thinking about the dropped downloads especially when they are more than 90% down, makes me wanna puke, man.
Streaming The Gem of Life will not be a better alternative no thanks to the buffering every minute. That’s why I only stream TVB when my downloads are not fast enough. Yes, I watch faster than I could possibly download most days since I could just watch five or six TVB episodes per sitting every night.
Perhaps downloading will not be such a pain if I were to be a premium member but I am cheap, OK. I really salute those who take the trouble to upload movies so that the rest of us could enjoy.

Anyway, The Gem of Life is said to be the most expensive TVB production to date and took a year to film. We will probably be seeing the same faces that we watched on Heart of Greed and Moonlight Resonance. I haven’t started watching The Gem of Life yet and will probably only start going into the second week so that I could play catch up. Like I said, I watch five to six episodes consecutively so I need to collect my episodes first.
