Post Graduate Education Fair 2009
4 January, 2009 – 7:58 pmI just received news that there will be an education fair at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 16th to 18th January, 2009 from 10am to 7pm. This is not just any education fair, mind you, but Post Graduate Education Fair 2009, the eleventh this year and it promises to be the largest and most interesting Post Graduate education fair to date.
I am sure we all know the value of education in today’s extremely competitive employer’s market, especially in this economic climate. Almost everyone has a basic degree now and seriously, having at least an MBA would open way more doors. A friend told me that even though he did not have a degree but subsequently put himself through an MBA course with just a Diploma and work experience, he is earning way more than his peers now.
Post Graduate Education Fair 2009 is an event that would be suitable for fresh graduates and working professionals who would like to upgrade themselves. A main concern for many of my friends is their ability to financially support this new commitment.
The good news is that there will be over RM500,000 worth of scholarships and study grants available for students. Qualifying for one of these should help to lighten the financial burden. If not, there will surely be one form of financing or another that could help you achieve your educational goals.
I am someone who believes in lifelong learning and know first hand how difficult it is to climb the corporate ladder without even a basic degree. Fret not, though, as some institutes of higher learning do accept students without a degree as long as they have adequate experience in a managerial position and pass an admission test.
Whatever it is, I think we owe it to ourselves to explore the various local or foreign Post Graduate courses that are available which could greatly enhance our careers.
