My Virtual Touch Pets Dogs Puppy

22 February, 2010 – 11:41 pm

As if adopting a FooPuppy, a virtual puppy online, isn’t enough, I went and adopt yet another doggie, this time on my iPhone through the app, Touch Pets Dogs. I have provided screenshots of my new puppy for you, a Jack Russel, whom I have unimaginatively named Jack! LOL

I love dogs, you know, but I sworn off keeping any because of some pretty nasty experiences with them health wise so I have resorted to keeping them virtually only. No one cares if I neglect them for a day or two. Teehee!

After playing with my pet Touch Pets Dogs, I went online to check how popular this iPhone app is and discovered that like many other online games, there are people who resort to cheat tactics to level up. I mean, why do people do this? Can’t they play leisurely? I guess not!

In any case, I will continue to play with my Jack normally and not search out Touch Pets Dogs cheats or anything of that nature! It just takes the fun off the game!

When Spring Festival Meets Valentine’s Day

16 February, 2010 – 9:17 am

This Chinese New Year is exceptionally different because it falls on the same day as Valentine’s Day. As you know, Valentine’s Day is always celebrated on the 14th of February but Chinese New Year is variable because it follows the Chinese lunar calendar.

This year, the first day of Chinese New Year, which is also known as Spring Festival, and the most important day for Chinese around the world, coincidentally fell on 14th February as well. This coincidence has only happened three times in the past 100 years, in 1915, 1934 and 1953. The next one to occur will be in 2048. That’s another 38 years!

While such an occurrence is rare, I don’t think many people like it, especially couples who are not married yet. This is because most of us have to celebrate Spring Festival with our families in our hometown, especially for the all-important reunion dinner. My friend told me that the solution to this is to get married!

In any case, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy & Prosperous Chinese New Year. May the roar of the tiger bring you much happiness throughout the year!

Two More Special Valentine’s Day Dishes On Restaurant City

11 February, 2010 – 10:34 pm

Restaurant City (Playfish) has extended their special Valentine’s Day dishes with the addition of two new dishes, as you can see in this screenshot that I have enclosed. These two add to the earlier Valentine’s Day dishes that were introduced earlier on Restaurant City, Sweet Heart Mousse and Lovely Steak. As you can see, in line with the special occasion, there’s plenty of pink and red.

Luckily, unlocking and leveling up these two latest dishes are not going to be difficult as common ingredients are used, especially saffron and vanilla which all of us already have more than enough. Moreover, each dish only requires three ingredients unlike the recent special limited-time only dishes that require four ingredients.

Anyway, it looks like Restaurant City is too busy celebrating Valentine’s Day that they have forgotten to add special Chinese New Year dishes. Sure, they have added festive decorative items at the store but I am not going to spend my hard-earned coins on those. I’d rather spend money buying ingredients to level up. Am I weird or what?
