Happy Mother’s Day To All Mummies
10 May, 2009 – 12:22 pmIt’s Mother’s Day today; always celebrated on the second Sunday of the month of May. I actually hate celebratory occasions like these, because I never know what kind of wishes to say, even though I would like to tell my mother lots of things, but I end up always, ALWAYS, just greeting her, “Happy Mother’s Day!”

Also, all I ever associate this day, and Father’s Day, Christmas, New Year, birthdays and such, is to “spend, spend, spend” and no, I do not like days like these to mess up my budget for the month all because I am obligated to buy something, gift something to someone.
This Mother’s Day, like her birthday last month and also her birthday and Mother’s Day of previous years, I ended up giving her ca$h. I know, it’s nothing special, nothing surprising but my mother is really one practical lady and she LOVES nothing better than cash, where she could spend on whatever, however, as she likes.
Well, I hope that when I am a mother myself one day, if ever, I too would at least receive cash from my children. I wouldn’t mind. No, I wouldn’t mind one bit! Cash is ALWAYS king!
