Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
13 September, 2008 – 11:14 pmIt’s the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow and celebrations are held tonight where the moon is said to be the roundest throughout the year. I am not sure about that because I cannot measure or compare them!

If you want to read about the Mid-autumn Festival, or more popularly known as the Mooncake Festival, you can search the web where there are plenty of legendary stories, whether they are true or not. Well, that’s immaterial because it’s Chinese culture to pray to the moon once a year on the night of the fourteenth day of the eight moon on the Chinese lunar calendar.
While some of my friends will be celebrating this significant day, with their families, I will not. I am at home working. I think it’s a good time to catch up on some with while the family is outdoors enjoying the moon, eating mooncakes, nuts and other sweetmeats.
Anyway, this Mooncake Festival, we did not have too many mooncakes which is just as well because they are so sweet! Nobody should eat too many mooncakes. It should be just symbolic.
