  2. Thanks for collecting all of these and posting them. I missed a couple.

  3. I’d also like to thank you for collecting these. I only get to see them on weekdays since I don’t have internet at home so I miss anything Google has up on weekends. Keep it up!

  4. Hi Yim & Mark,

Thanks for your comment and encouragement.

I’m gonna miss looking forward to new Google logos every morning when the Games end.

  5. Thank you SO much for posting these with the date and description. I love Dennis Hwang’s Google Art, but have to agree with others - the Aug. 15 “tiger” is pathetic. Perhaps he could redo it!

  6. GREAT JOB! Thank you so much for posting these Google Olympic logos. I had missed a few and was glad to go back and see them. I’ll miss them when the games are over.

  7. Thank you for posting these. I was saving a few myself, I thought I was doing well, but I only saved 7, and I see that your collection has 17! I “Googled” ‘Google Olympic Text Art 2008′ and came across your site in the results, by way of another blogger’s post who links to this page (I didn’t look very far down the list of returned search results, I bet this page is on there somewhere). I just get so preoccupied I didn’t realize how many days had passed, August and the Beijing Olympics went by so quickly, they are over and I am grieving for them. Why did you post these graphics in .jpg files instead of .gif files like Google uses? I am disabled and never leave my home anymore, so my perception of time is bizaare. Besides the experience that time is going by as quickly as a “falling star” flashes across the sky, time visits the past and present for me in an illogical method. Aside from necessary appointments, I am surprised how differently I interpret specific times and dates in the present, when entering the end stages of life at the young age of 35, with very little in the way of routine or repitition to mark the passing hours. I am grateful I am 39 now, and I still have moments to spare. Live each day as though it could be your last, because it really could be your last.

  8. Hi Alan,

Thanks for your lengthy comment. It possibly is the longest I ever had in my 3 years of blogging! LOL

I don’t know why I saved my images in .jpg and not .gif. I took screenshots instead of “Save as”. The difference in quality is slight so I guess it is not a problem.

  9. I wish Google would sell t-shirts with Dennis Hwang’s Google Art on them. I’d buy several! Imagine a t-shirt with ALL the Olympic Googles on it - ooooh! By the way, Alan, your disability certainly doesn’t affect your intelligence or good attitude. May you live a long and rewarding life!
