Ballerina Music Box

When I was a kid, I wanted to have a ballerina music box but because my parents couldn’t spare the money for something as frivolous as music boxes, I never got it. Now that I am a working adult and could afford to buy my own music boxes, as many as I wish, it is just not the same anymore.

I do have a Limoges box now which is made from porcelain. It was a gift from an aunt a long time ago which I still keep, not only because I treasure all my gifts, but I really enjoy the exquisite craftsmanship and “old Europe” design. It’s too bad that I am unable to share a picture of it here today because it’s at my parents’ home. I wish I could take it along with me but it’s just not viable until I have my own place.

Come to think of it, if you are looking for a gift for a girl, music or Limoges boxes make really good gifts!
