Arithmetic Challenge Spam

A friend who is on my Facebook friend’s list installed and played Arithmetic Challenge yesterday. To his and our chagrin, the game not only posted many game alerts on our newsfeed and his wall, it also posted a lot of irrelevant advertisements, spamming not only him but all his friends.

According to my friend, whom I shall not name, Arithmetic Challenge is the culprit and even he did not know that the ads were posted under his profile. He only came to know about it when a mutual friend told him to stop posting the ads as they were spammy.

This friend has since removed the game application from his account so hopefully, the spam will stop. I don’t know what he clicked that he shouldn’t clicked that allowed the application to post alerts automatically but I still think it’s pretty unscrupulous that the application is posting highly irrelevant links on the profiles of players!
